Introduction
Dr Venkatesh is a self-cultivated upanyasakar, without any family background in spirituality. Hailing from a normal middle-class family in Kumbakonam, it was purely by the grace of Perumal and Acharya that he entered the spiritual arena. His parents are bank employees.
He earned district ranks in both 10th standard and +2, then secured an MBBS seat on merit and studied at Government Erode Medical College.
During his school days, he recited a shloka from the Gita every day during the school prayer, along with its meaning. This was his first step into spirituality.
During his college days, he developed a creative flair for poetry and wrote many poems in Tamil, English and Sanskrit.
